The Microlux Transilluminator is used for detecting Anterior and Posterior Caries. It also helps to visualize crown fractures, root canal orifice, and root fractures. Microlux applications include an accessory for Proximal Caries detection, and Oral Cancer Screening. The unit comes with either a 2mm or 3mm light guide. The light guides are autoclaveable, but protective sleeves are also available. The unit is powered by 2 “AAA” style batteries.
